The king looked over the two for a moment before nodding, proceeding with his meal.

The queen on the other hand was a bit uncomfortable with the silence. She had already finished her meal, and the king was close as well.
"My king, why don't we turn in for the night. We had several businesses to attend to."
The king agreed and left with his wife, leaving Xolia and Temorin alone.

He simply Kept eating, not minding Xolia.

She didn't say a word to him as she also continued eating.

A million questions covered his mind. Xolia, the woman who became a princess in a matter of days. The king and Queen of her country could just as easily have chosen a well educated noble woman. Why was this servant so much more special than the rest?

Despite his efforts to move his mind from these topics, every question seemed to start with her. He couldn't bring himself to state his questions, so he kept silent. After a moment went by, he had finished. He called over a servant and began to clean the table alongside the servant. He wouldn't usually do this in front of his parents, but otherwise he commonly could be found helping the castle's staff. He chatted about a few small subjects with the staff member for a bit. After he had assisted clearing away the majority of the meal, he turned back towards the princess.

"My lady, It has been an honor to dine with you. If I may be so bold to ask, shall I escort you to your chambers?"

" I would deeply appreciate that, Prince Temorin. " She said with an elegant curtsey. Her face remained calm. She had what one would call a poker face, always displaying the same emotion. She had, after all, been taught to never show her true emotions.

"Wonderful, shall we?" He asked as he extended his arm to her expectantly.

She gently hooked her arm on his.

"I shall ask now in order to make accommodations, but does horseback riding bother you? If so, I will have a carriage arranged."
He began to walk back to her quarters. As they approached the doorway, two pairs of shoes lay there.

"Oh, wonderful, the servants did as I asked. Here are a pair of your shoes so you mustn't lay your feet on the cold stone flooring of the palace." He placed a pair in front of her before putting on his own.

She slipped the shoes onto her feet. " Horseback is fine. I prefer that over the tight spaces of a carriage. "

"Perfect, you will ride on my horse with me. We have a horse for you to ride in your own time, but I will have you ride with me when we are together, a public symbol of the soon to come unity between our kingdoms."

He resumed to hold his arm out to her, continuing to show his elegantly composed expression.

She took his arm again with her usual calm face.

" Understandable. It would be quite best for the citizens to believe our relationship is one they would want between the future King and Queen. "
