Renae dragged her bike out of the truck bed. "What if they come to kill us? You know, because we're witnesses and all that... I'm scared," she admitted.

*Lemme help you with that* Barry helped Dahlia get her bike down, then helped to lower the others. *Let out our bikes in my backyard, so no one tries to take them* Barry says, leading the way to his back yard and opening the fence.

*I never thought about that* Oliver said in response to Renaes point about being a witness. *Now Im scared too* He said in a shaky voice.

*Barrys mom is literally a cop, were currently under police protection right now, well be fine* Tess tried to reassure the group.

*Plus Hades is home, mom didnt take him, so we have our very own guard dog* Barry said proudly. Hades was the massive Black police dog that belonged to Barrys mom. He was a sweetheart at home and loved snuggling with the group of friends, but during work, the dog was absolutely savage, with its fast running speeds and powerful jaws, not to mention how intimidating he was, you always wanted to be in that good boys good side.

*Exactly, well be fine* Tess put an arm around Renaes back supportively in attempt to comfort the shorter girl.

"Thanks, Berry." , Dahlia smiled. Turning to Ranae she spoke in a comforting tone. "Nothing will happen to us." Soon after she followed Barry to the backyard, a little excited about seeing Hades again. Dahlia set her bike down on the side of the house, heaving a sigh.

Renae wheeled her bike into the backyard and shrugged, only partially reassured. "I guess. Yeah. But what were those gunshots all about? Who was shooting?"

*Maybe well find out tomorrow on the news* Tess suggested, kicking the stand in his bike and letting go of it gently. *Im gonna change into my pajamas and get ready for bed, maybe if Im lucky Ill get at least a few minutes if sleep.* she groaned.

Tess walked to the back door, opening it and Hades quickly squirmed out, making Barry drop his bike to lock the gate. The massive dog instantly ran over to sniff everyone and jump around excitedly.

*Hey buddy... youre a good boy, keep everyone safe tonight, okay?* Barry said, scratching the dogs ears.

*Hey, this is a weird time to bring this up, but, what do you guys think of the cursed cave rumor thing?* Oliver asked.

*Cant say I remember it... what is that again?* Barry asked.

*That secret cave in the rocks at the beach. Its said that anyone who touches the shiny rock in the back of the cave gets cursed with misfortune and tragedy* Oliver said.

*Sounds like total bull, curses dont exist* Barry huffed with a slight chuckle. *Why do you even believe in this supernatural junk, like werewolves and demons and reptilians* Barry said with a smirk.

*Because its interesting! Have you even read the lore of our town? Our history is full of werewolves and demons... the reptilians are a bit of a newer thing though* Oliver retorted.

Dahlia pet Hades, smiling a little. But when the two boys where arguing about that dumb curse she had to step in. "Boys, how about we go inside and wait until morning to wake the neighbours?" , She called over, her right hand on her hip. "I am one for debating about history, but not in the middle of the night." After that, Dahlia headed towards the back door.

*Folklore, not history* Barry corrected her as he brought Hades and everyone else inside.

*Yeah, but Barry-*

*Not in the mood Oliver. I really cant deal with this right now.* Barry grumbled as Oliver began to speak. Barry just walked into his room, shutting the door behind him, leaving a dejected and offended looking Oliver behind him.

*Well, I guess were sleeping in the basement then* Tess said awkwardly, patting Oliver on the back.

*Whatever, I guess, lets just... Im gonna go get ready for bed* Oliver said, walking into the bathroom and closing the door behind him.

"So," said Renae. "Let's definitely not get sleep in the basement and talk about folklore or whatever it is in the morning? I'm too overwhelmed to deal with this rigjt now," she admitted, idly stroking Hades. "Although we are going to talk about it? Right? "

"I know, Barry, I was trying to make Oliver feel good about himself." , She whispered, putting a hand on his forearm. She stopped when she saw Barry go into his room. She felt upset, but hid it behind a wall. "Yku guys can go ahead, I'm going to do something real fast." , She muttered, going to the kitchen.

*Ren, Ill tell you literally everything I know about this towns lore, tomorrow, because Im exhausted and wanna sleep* Oliver promised as he came back out of the bathroom.

*Dont take it personally, Dahl, its been a long night for all of us, Barry especially* She reassuringly put a hand on Dahlias shoulder.

Hades ears suddenly perked up and he whipped around to face the front door, his lips drawn back in a snarl as his back arched and he stepped forward. A figures shadow was cast on the curtains as it approached the door and violently wiggled the front doorknob.
