By that time, Flare had just arrived back to camp. It was the afternoon and he was ready to get this day over. Burrs and thistles were stuck to his fur and two claws were chipped. He stopped at the entrance of his den, noticing that his father was in there.
Solar dipped his head to Flare, noting his unshapely condition. Good. His anger had probably disappeared for now. He continued his post outside the den, as he didn't have any orders for him to leave.

Flare entered the den, ignoring his father. He looked at Moon, angling his head a little. "Make yourself presentable. I have to show you the kingdom. " He wouldn't show her all of it, though. Until she was married, he saw her as an enemy guest.

Flare walked out of the den, dismissing Solar. He led her along the camp path, showing her the neatly organized dens. They could only fit five cats in each, but there were multiple dens. "When you become an apprentice, you're paired with four others. You'll be with each other your whole lives, so you have to learn to get along. After a while, they'll hunt and train together," he explained.

Flare nodded. "They're all of the same profession when they're paired, and most find their mates in these groups." He fell silent as they looped around and came back to his den. He walked a little bit further, gesturing to the large rock above them. "That's the Sun Rocks and the big one is where my father calls us together. He and his "queens" live in the den over there. " His face twisted into small disgust. Fire had never taken a proper wife. Flare didn't even know who his birth mother was.

Flare narrowed his eyes at Moon. What else had he expected from the Moon Kingdom? They had no manners. She was lucky he wasn't going to end up like his father. If he hadn't been so disgusted, he might've, considering how she was acting. He took a few deep breaths before calming down. Alliances were fragile. He couldn't screw this up.
