Backstory:
Avery is considered a strange girl, her nose always glued to some fantasy book, and rarely paying attention to the real world. She had followed Nick and the others out of curiosity after the chaperone had taken her book. she wasn't really part of the friend group, but she knew that anything would be more fun than doing nothing. and once things began to change and seem strange Avery got lost on her own in her imagination in the strange new forest where she felt more at home.
