Velos didn't sit down, for some strange reason he always hated sitting. It felt so strange to him. He rarely even did it on tree branches. "Time" he said simply, "Will the task also be in good time?" he asked slowly, as if considering his options.
Abandoning those who needed him seemed out of the question. He couldn't just disappear one day, vanish. Who knows what the nobles would do if that happened? He glanced at the person with the mask, "None of us here are nobles who'll rat you out." he stated

"You don't know that." Rue says, turning to look at you. "I've never met you before, you don't know anything about me" she says, her tone hard to judge due to lack of expression. "But yeah, I'm not a noble" she continues in a mumble.
"Just get on with it though, what do you need us to do, I don't have time to sit around and listen to some vague rambling" Rue says somewhat rudely.

The man nodded, acknowledging your words "That is fair. I need you to find some people." he said and pulled out a scroll in an intricately carved glass bottle "We believe they are being hunted, and that could prove...problematic." he says setting the bottle on the table "I cannot show you the information on the people until you accept the task as their identities need to be kept secret for their and the world's safety." He explained.
Then turning to Velos he said "It's hard to judge how long this will take, believe me these people will be hard to find, but I assure you that their survival is pertinent"

Ea stayed quiet, standing in the background. She would not sit, it was a very vulnerable position. *If I was to accept this task, how would I be rewarded?* Ea asked suspiciously. It was not natural for others to try and hire her, she was usually the one going up to people and was looking to be hired.

Velos had nothing to say and simply listened, eyes closed. He knew quite a few of the locals in the area, and some knew him.
