Maybe it could be like another human weapon? Mine could be long range, while Dragon's could be close range?

Yes Dragon would be the fourth. We have a dragon, weapon and wielder. That's three so what could be added to the bond? Maybe another wielder or dragon but we ignore for the most part what would be their bond and they interact with the "team of three" like the friend or potential romance who knows.
