"I mean, tomorrow your parents are going to choose your future queen based on her power alone, someone who you hardly know." Aowyn told him matter-of-factly. She suddenly felt very odd dancing, and looked down at her feet. Asher's were perfectly in time, and hers were quite off. She rushed a few steps to catch up with the music. "Sorry," she muttered, slightly embarrassed.

"If anything, I should be apologizing. I'm a mess with my steps." He said, allowing her to catch up as they danced. More Silvers had joined them on the floor now.
His mother and father watched from the top of the staircase, they had been greeting everyone up there. Asher sighed, then spoke in a whisper.
"I wonder if she ever hates being the Queen, and if my father ever had the same... Doubts I do. The reds hate us, someday we'll all be gone if we keep ruling like this. "

((Probably not, maybe they'll just have away to signal to each other though. As soon as Kai is rped by Druid, the killer will strike. I'm thinking the first death will be of the House Viper- the brother of the Queen and also a relative of Lukas. ))

Chaya looked at the dance floor,i can't dance for the life of me.I never really learned.She looked down at her heels,Not like these help..She spotted the prince from the corner of her eye.She looked at him dancing with the girl from the House of Tyros.Blushig she looked down again,Why an i jealousy?It's not like i want to be queen.Or do i really just want to get away from my parents?She asked herself

Sola nudged Chaya. "Being Queen has a lot of responsibility. I'll be happy not to marry him- even though I'll still end up with another of a Silver House, it won't be as bad." She watched the pair gyrate along the dance floor elegantly.

((I was waiting for Druid before continuing so they didn't get left too far behind... but meh.))
Aewyn followed Asher's gaze to the stairs. The king and queen looked regal and happy, greeting the new Silvers, but she realized after so long a real-looking but false smile would come so easily.
"I wonder if she hates being the Queen, and if my father ever had the same... doubts I do. The reds hate us, someday we'll all be gone if we keep ruling like this."
Aewyn froze at Asher's voice, dropping her hands from his and taking a step back. Her mask dropped, and her eyes blazed, but not with anger - with shock, confusion, and... approval? But then she slipped her perfect smile back into place and smothered the flames in her grey eyes.
"Those are dangerous words," she said quietly. "Spoken like a rebel." Then, loud enough for everyone around them to hear, she said, "Oh, dear. I'm not feeling all too well. Dear Prince, those chocolates were simply too good, I couldn't stop eating them!'
She jerked her head toward a hallway in a 'We need to talk' gesture. "Well, I'm off to find the lady's room!" she trilled, swirling her skirts around her as she headed off and disappeared into the hallway.
