If you missed the free dyes from the Advent calendar, there are still dyes that you can buy on the broker...

For a Max stat pet, it is still a reasonable price...

So to clarify, you can vote for any design and as many designs as you want for 2 greater dyes, and you'll only get a max stat ny'vene from the "pledge" if you voted for the winning design?

Yes, you said it a lot more clearly than I did! >.<

Step-by-step it's kinda like this:

1) "Pledge" 2 greater dyes
2) Vote for as many designs as you like.
3) Winner is first to 10 votes.
4) If you voted for the winner, pay the dyes and get a max stat offspring.
5) If you didn't vote for the winner, don't pay or get anything.

Hmm, I think maybe it'd be better if you did the contest in two parts:

Part 1:
1. Have a thread just for gathering different designs.
2. Have designs come in for 1wk.
3. After all designs are in, open a window for votes for free, like 5 votes per person. Anyone can vote and no cost.
4. Pick whatever designs are popular based on votes for Part 2. (and add your own if you have favorites, since you're the host)

Part 2:
1. Make a new thread for voting on the popular designs from Part 1.
2. Advertise it as some sort of exchange of dyes for a max stat ny'vene (since no one's "winning" anything for free by having to pay dyes to vote).
3. Pledge dyes (whether it's 2 greater dyes for 1 vote, or 4 lesser dyes for 1 vote, whatever as long as its fixed to a standard) like you intended, but make whatever minimum set of dyes you need as the max number of "dyes" needed for a vote to win. Can vote multiple times here as long as they donated (which is what you have already).
4. Whichever design wins, everyone who voted to it must donate their dyes, and whichever didn't win doesn't have to donate dyes.

I think this would be easier on everyone involved, but the main part that I think confuses everyone is that you're combining a design contest with a dye fundraiser, and no one's really winning anything yet, and voting is a bit skewed based on who can donate. Plus, if you're still taking designs now, some of the earlier designs might be overlooked, so it's probably easier to have an end date for windows and let people vote after. But you can still do a free round of votes to see which ones are popular before the people who pay for the dyes can choose, narrowing down the choices. ^^

Hmm, these are good ideas. I think I tried to do too much at once! Yes, the winning designer still gets the max stat for free. But I guess it's confusing when everyone else has to pay dyes. I did title it "win free max stat or trade for dyes" but the last part of the title seems to have gotten cut off. I don't want to be confusing or misleading!! :(

The main problem is that trying to change things in the middle like this might confuse ppl even more. So what I'll probably do is just keep things the way they are until the start of the Winter Fest. (That's the current deadline for submitting designs.)

Then I might try a "narrowing down" phase like you mentioned above.

And then a new thread for the dyes sounds like a good idea as well.
