the owl looked shocked one you offerd a landing place, it flew down failing to land and crashing in the dirt, its wing was crooked.

I rush over to it. "SHADOW. STAND GUARD." I gently pick up the owl and look for anything to make a splint for his wing. Namely leaves and bendy branches

shadow paced around the opening guarding
the owl was trying to go some were, like it was trying to lead you some were.
