(Aww sorry to see you go. I'll try to make up something)

Resa didn't know how to respond to the chief's question. Tormar had just appeared out of nowhere to interfere and with her worrying about Courage she had forgotten to ask exactly who he was so, instead of replying, Resa kept silent to give Tormar a chance to explain himself. Although, strangely, all that came out of his mouth was a hurried excuse that he had to leave and with that he and Thunder took off and were immediately lost in the surrounding crowd, leaving Resa to explain on his behalf.
"Uh... Sir, he was just a civilian who happened to be in the area. If he hadn't been there things might have turned out much worse." She glanced toward the ambulance.
Chief Yett let out an annoyed sigh. "Alright but you're sure that's all he was?"
She nodded. "Yes, sir."
"Fine. That's all for now. You can take Courage and go home now."
Courage slept the whole way back to Resa's apartment, occasionally letting out a small whimper when Resa drove over a bump or pot hole so she drove slowly. Charisma sat close by in the back seat, watching over him. The paramedic said the painkillers he was given would allow him to sleep throughout the rest of the day and well into the next.

Matt stood in the shop as the taylor measured him. He was thankful that the man was willing to help him out. Having a few contacts around town did come in handy. A few moments later he came back with the required suit. "There you are Matt. Good luck with whatever you're working on." Matt thanked him and paid for his suit. Then once outside he mounted Bluestar and turned towards home. He was unmindful of the bright headlights on the car that drove past. He did notice its resemblance to a familiar police cruiser, but at this late hour was too tired to care.

As Resa reached the outer wall of the city she passed by a man riding a brightly coloured Qitari. She always wanted to get a large rideable sylesti but her tiny apartment was not an appropriate environment for such an animal. She sighed and turned into the parking lot beside her home and began the long climb up the stairs, the lift being almost always broken. The tall building was far from glamorous but if you lived higher than the 7th floor (Resa lived on the 9th) you could see right over the city wall.
With Courage sound asleep in her arms and Charisma on the couch next to her, Resa turned on the TV and was greeted by a familiar scene. A bunch of reporters were trying to get some police officers to reveal what had happened in the old warehouse but chief Yett rushed over to shoo them and the camera crews away before too much information could get out. Resa let out a quiet laugh as they scrambled over each other to get out of his way only to circle around and swarm one of the paramedics who had foolishly left the safety of the police barrier. She thought they resembled seagulls dodging an angry dog to get at discarded chip. It was hardly surprising to see so many of them in the area, this was the most newsworthy event that had happened in the city in a few years. She was glad she'd gotten out before it got so bad, it looked like the story (or lack thereof thanks to William Yett) would be on almost every channel.

The next morning dawned bright and clear. Matt groaned as he rolled out of bed. He was not looking forward the effort of getting up after such a late night. Still he eventually managed. Bleary eyes he ate his breakfast and got ready. Walking out to the pasture he whistled for Bluestar. The sylesti came trotting briskly up far more awake than his master. He butted Matt playfully as he tried to groom him for the day. Finally he settled down and they headed into town. The dinner was not until six, so Matt had decided to do a bit of investigation into the world of Sylesti beauty contests before hand.

Resa woke up to Courage licking her face. He seemed in good spirits despite what had happened yesterday.
"How's my boy today? Feeling better?" Courage barked in response but when Resa placed a hand on him he whimpered slightly. "Still a little sore huh?" She sat up in bed and stretched while he bounced around Charisma who growled at him sleepily from her blanket on the floor. She looked at the clock, it was still early but there was no way she could get back to sleep with the Lupora pup acting the way he was. She picked him up and despite his protests, changed his bandages. The many deep cuts were beginning to close but it was clear they would leave scars. He was healing quickly, though and would be able to return to his usual guard duties in only a few days. Until then Resa had organized for the old lady across the hall to care for him while she was at work.
After rousing Charisma and leaving Courage behind (with much complaining on his part) she got into her patrol car and headed to the police station.

Matt left Bluestar outside and entered the contest hall. He tried not to fidget in the suit he was wearing, wondering how rich people could stand to wear such things. Still this was a fancier place and it would not hurt his cover for this evening to be seen around the contest halls. There was a contest schedualed in less that an hour. Viewing one might give him insight into his current case. Fighting the urge to pull at his too stiff collar he found himself a seat.

Resa was almost sent home immediately after arriving at the station. Chief Yett tried to convince her to take a few personal days to take care of Courage but she wouldn't hear of it. They both argued for a while but ended on a compromise. Resa was not allowed to work on the warehouse case until after Courage was cleared for duty by a doctor, however, she would be allowed to work as a guardsman in the meantime. Today she was stationed at a Sylesti beauty contest hall, apparently some of the pageant goers could get pretty nasty toward their competition.
Resa and Charisma took their place next to the stage and looking around, she noted the locations of two other guardsmen and their Sylesties. One was at the door acting as a bouncer and the other was backstage. She was glad to be positioned next to the stage, from here she could at least see the show.

Julius sat there with the tape in his hand. A whole compilation of what the security cameras had picked up from the warehouse that evening. He could turn it in to a newspaper. He could get a decent sum of money and he was sure they would flock around such evidence. But if it was tracked back to him people would start asking questions and if they found out about him it was a good possibility he would end up arrested seeing as he was on a few of the top most wanted lists for hacking into many a sylestian agency in his time. Anything he did would have to be anonymously. He loved messing with the police and any established rule-makers/keepers around Sylestia, a few weeks ago he had hacked into the mayors speech records and changed the entire speech when he presented in front of a large board meeting. Watching from the cameras, it was pretty hilarious as he splurted out random nonsense as he read from the paper only a quarter of the way through realising what he was saying. A lot of people probably hated him...well if they knew who was actually behind all these issues. But what else was someone his age with his talents and reputation supposed to do? Life was boring when you were a computer genius and nothing to do with it. He grinned as he finished wrapping it and dropped it into a nearby mail bin outside with no return address the letter inside was just anonymous. He grinned as he realized all the trouble he might cause. If he wanted to he could terminate it. He imbedded a code just in case. In his line of work you always had to be ready.

He sighed as he looked around. While he was out he might as well go for a walk. He pulled his hood over his head a bit as he began walking around. As he was walking he suddenly glanced over to a nearby building. "Sylesti beauty contest?" He laughed to himself. He could cause so much havoc if he wanted. He went into a nearby alleyway, reached into his backpack and pulled out his computer. Within a few minutes he was connected to the cameras. Maybe he would just watch...or he would finish hacking into the buildings mainframe and mess with the lights... that was yet to be decided.

(hey guys! Sorry I was gone for so long. And sorry for my characters actions haha just how I imagine him acting lol being all mischievous. Once he has a case or something to focus on he will be much less deviant haha. )

Matt glanced around the hall feeling bored. He did a sudden double take as he spotted a familiar police officer. Looking around he spotted two others. Matt sighed in frustration. If they found out that he was here concerning a case they would give him no peace. If spotted he would just have to pretend to like these sort of things.

Soon enough the hall lights dimmed and a spotlight shone on the stage. Resa could hear the excited murmurs of the audience as the contest was about to start. Charisma quivered beside her, eager to see the show. It wasn't at all surprising, Charisma was a bit of a diva and a very good looking Sylesti. Resa had often considered entering her in a small local pageant just for fun but could never find the time. All eyes were on the announcer as she stepped onto the stage.
