A Russian New Year
Now, as I am Russian myself, I can tell you what we do on New Year, and New Year's Eve. My time is an hour ahead of game time, so you should know that I have already done most of it. At the end of this story, I'll give a schedule of what happens for clearance. Long story short, for Russians New Year is like Christmas for Americans. It starts off with a feast of friends and family, winding up in a countdown to New Year, and then opening presents under the decorated tree.
Schedule of what normally happens:
9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Cooking and Preparing
8:00 PM - 10:00 PM Guests Arriving and Final Touches on food
10:00 PM - 11:30 PM Feasting
11:30 PM - 12:00 AM Countdown
12:00 AM - 1:00 AM Feasting
1:00 AM- 2:00 AM Presents
