i hear some one in the cell next to me. "hello? can you hear me in there?" i was scared. "HELP!" i shrink again . i run to the door and try to open it. no! why would someone do this to a boy like my self? i am a nobody, just a farm boy trying to get noticed by someone. i wanted to cry but my new body would not allow it. lord i was going to die. i bite at the door knob and kick at the glass. nothing would work... i was trapped in this cell to die! i slam my body against the wall. the pain was all to real for a dream and the horror as well. i just wanted a friend......

Okay, I needed to calm down. I tried to think about my past, but I couldn't remember anything. I really wanted someone to talk to. The silence was unbearable. "Hello?" I said at last. "Is anyone else here?"

Sophie's head jerked up from where she had it for a few days, against the bars of her cage. She tried to speak but her throat was dry. She cleared it but her voice was still hoarse and quiet. "Yeah, I'm over here." She realized how stupid that sounded. She cleared her throat again, and this time when she spoke it was clearer "I'm in a cage and my name's Sophie."

"Hey, Sophie," I replied to the girl in the cell next to me. "I'm Nikki. This is kind of a stupid question, but do you know what's happening?". She probably wouldn't know though. "And, do you have any, um... animal body parts?" That's the weirdest question ever, but I was curious.

"Nikki..." I mumble to myself to help me remember. I stared at the floor my eyes growing wide "Yeah I'm covered in fur actually....." I shook my head "All I know is that whoever messed with me is going to get more then they thought they would!"

"Yea," I reply. "I wish we could see each other. Oh, and did you hear the scientists saying anything, I don't know, weird about you?" I paused a moment. scientists I thought. how do I know that word? "They told me that I was allergic to water. I'm not sure what it means, but they said if I had it, I would turn red and pass out." I stopped there. What else to say? Nothing. If only we could get outside these cages. I had a really strong urge to run around, and I was hungry.

Sophie didn't want to have anyone see her. She hated how she looked now wishing that they had done anything else to her. Anything at all. "I don't think you want to see me....." Sophie hated this already sum cat like eyes and he'd rather go back to not having anyone to talk to. "Nope, but I have, um, cat-like eyes and really good hearing." She said avoiding the word skunk knowing that they usually smelled and that people would probably avoid her.

I hear the voices. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I run to the door. There were bars on the window but the rest was solid. It must have been since I could change into such a small animal. If only I could change now. Fear grins me once more. Where were my family? I change again. Well you get what you ask for I guess. I jump up on the door. The bars would be a tight fit but I could do it. I put my head through first then slip through. I jump down to the ground. Who in there right mind would want to do this to someone? I pass a cell with a girl in it. I stop and sit in front of it. I slowly change back to a human. I was getting the hange of this. "Hello."

I was thinking about what the girl said when an animal scampered in front of me and turned into a human male. "Hey." I said. "Wait- How'd you get out?" Did he pick his lock or something?

"No I went through the door or more of the window. Can't you get out? Can you change like I can? Do you know who did this?" I stop. Too many questions for so little time. "Sorry. I am Tony by the way." I look down the halls. No one was coming which to me was good. A sudden thought struck me. What if I couldn't get back in my cell?
