There's a pounding in your head that only intensifies as you open your eyes.
At first, you can't see a thing: it's so bright that you can only make out vague shadows. Then, as your eyes adjust, the shapes begin to come into focus. Towering above you are massive conifer trees, stretching endlessly upwards. Their thin branches frame a clear blue sky, the sun directly overhead--that would explain the blinding light.
The ground beneath you feels cool and damp, accompanied by the vaguely uncomfortable feeling of your clothes slowly absorbing the moisture the longer you lay there. There also seems to be something sharp poking into your back.
As you slowly reorient yourself, you realize that the pounding feeling isn't just within your own head--there's a deep vibration shaking the ground in a slow, steady rhythm, accompanied by a repeated thumping sound. It doesn't appear to be originating from anything you can immediately see, but by the sound and feel of it it's either massive, close by, or both.

LIGEIA twenty-three | female | played by Jie #train security guard #faction contractor
faceclaim: Faust (Limbus Company)
[ ARC 1: The Catatonic Vessel ] This time without memories flows like a dream. The chill in her bones and the void in her heart keens something sorrowful, but it is warmed and soothed by the wonder of exploration and the tranquility of enjoying a cup of tea in another's company.
Though these idyllic days may not last under the weight of knowledge, they will always be remembered with the fondest of smiles.

Ambitions: Overarching: Enjoy the Natural Beauty of the World
Overarching: Collect Relics
Overarching: Investigate the Origin of Relics
Side: Collect Teas
Personality
An air of stillness surrounds her, bringing the suggestions of neutrality and vacancy with it. It's shattered by a soft sort of easy-goingness, the quirk of a close-lipped smile. For all that she moves, radiating something slow and relaxed, she's efficient by nature, arrogant by trade, and blunt to boot.
Bio x Wandered the world, exploring and investigating, for a few months after waking up.
x Connected with a recruiter from an unknown organization along the way and was accepted a freelancer who completes tasks in exchange for rewards or information.
x Took a job as a security guard in a multi-regional train.
Weapon/Tool of Choice x A hefty iron harpoon, two feet in length. There's sharp barbs crowning its head, and a few meter long rope tied to its end.
Ability & Relic x A shattered serpent, forged from blue and white porcelain. Only its head and upper body remain, and the indents of scales have worn away with time, while its bejeweled eyes have long since fallen. It gives the possessor the ability to absorb heat from the surroundings before releasing it as plumes of flame.
Other x I like Jasmine flowers because they make pretty good tea. I drank it in restaurants as a kid, so it's nostalgic too. :>
x Writing sample here. Nothing new, unfortunately.

The sun is setting behind you, the world rapidly falling into shadow even as you draw closer to the lights on the horizon.
It's been a few days since you woke up, and you've yet to get your bearings. Two nights ago, you found yourself in a massive field, surrounded by a scattering of fragrant wildflowers and tall grasses that brush your ankles. Strange rock formations tower like pillars far above your head, and beyond them stand the outlines of massive cliffs, or mountains--it's hard to be certain, but they never seem to get any clearer no matter how far you travel. Your only point of reference is that string of lights in the distance, just bright enough to see when the stars come out--not that you have any idea what they are, either.
The scenery doesn't feel unfamiliar, but you can't tell whether or not it should--in fact, you can't remember feeling familiar with anything. Perhaps you used to remember but forgot, or maybe you never had such memories at all.
In the distance, you hear a chorus of short screeches and howls, before they abruptly stop. You're used to those sounds by now: you've heard them every night, but never encountered the source. It's not as though you're the only living thing here. Occasionally, you encounter small creatures that flee at your footsteps and much larger beasts in the skies that throw winged shadows over you, although you haven't yet come across any other people.

Will you continue on?
Lillith stands in the field, her hands fidgeting with the satiny fabric of the dress she's wearing. The material feels familiar somehow, like a dream on the edge of her consciousness. She starts walking closer to the string of lights, her quick footsteps getting faster as she starts running, wildflowers and grasses whipping at her legs. Running feels like freedom, and she smiles and runs faster, until she can't run any further. She collapses into the field of flowers happily, breathing in their fragrant scent. But the sun setting rapidly in the distance causes her to remember the current situation, and the fact that she can't remember anything, and her illusion of happiness shatters into a million pieces. She runs, slower now, toward the lights again. They look so close, yet she can never seem to reach them...

"Ugh," Raven stands up, holding her head in her hands and squinting through the glaring brightness. She assesses her surroundings, and pulls a blade from her pocket instinctively, then brushes the dirt from her clothing after making sure no one is hiding away, waiting to attack her or something. Why would I think that? She wonders, taking one last look-around before making her way toward the obnoxious noise. And who am I? She starts searching her mind for any memories of anything, but comes up short. My name is Raven Grim, I am 19 years old and... She holds her head in her hands again, staying that way for a few seconds after experiencing a horrifying throbbing in her head. Is that all I am? A name and an age? She looks down at her hands to make sure that she even exists, and then puts them in her pockets as she walks straight ahead toward where she presumes the disruptive sounds to be coming from.

ahhh, thanks! And yes, tea lovers converge. I like basically all of the ones I drink haha. Ligeia enjoys making them so that she can share them with other people, so she's not picky about what she drinks either.
Since there's no way to share codes in Sylestia, it might be best to use your code, which I think is lovely. The headers are very nice :^
