Then there's a mild commotion behind her.

Nethimir looked behind herself, wondering what happened now.

It's those damned myth hunters. 'Slayers', as they call themselves. They're demanding to know the location of a creature she hasn't heard of before. A 'sphinx', apparently. They seem to be under the impression the locals are keeping it safe.

Nethimir's eyes widened at the sight of the hunters, she quickly looked back at the water as to not draw attention to herself.

She can hear them yelling at the locals. Slayers love to yell. That and to deliberately have their weapons out, to show how strong they are. It's a miracle nobody's ended up hurt with how flamboyant they get with their guns.

Nethimir covered one of her ears to try and muffle the sound, but she cant really do that with one hand, so she just sat there watching the waves hoping they wouldn't go to her to question.

Unluckily, one does.

"Excuse me, ma'am."

Nethimir flinched slightly but didn't look at who was asking. 'What do you want?'

"Have you seen this creature?"

He shoves a picture uncomfortably close to her face. It's what looks to be an I.D card, probably for work of some kind. The person in the portrait is the hissy woman.

Nethimir backed away some. '...No. I haven't. Also what do you mean 'creature'? She looks like a normal human to me.' Nethimir said looking back out at the ocean.
