She nods. "You should always scent them beforehand. If you don't, you could end up taking the lifeforce of somebody that will barely give you any energy, and it'll usually kill them in the process."

She nodded and sniffed the leader and terrified person.

The one still alive is mute. Upon sniffing the dead anemic girl, she is too.
