Skipper looked at the dog, "Alright but she is your responsiblity so if she gets in trouble you are paying for it."
Selkie took a step back, "Kai is a good dog just don't get near her jaws or near her with a stick at all."
Skipper looked at Selkie, "Another rescue?"
"Maybe." Selkie said.
"Why am I not suprised? Fine she may stay just remember what I said Kaladin." Skipper walked back to the cabin's quarters.
Selkie groaned.
Skipper remembered, "The dog must also earn her food or take from your share."

Selkie thought how Kai could earn her food, "What if she helped us lift and lower the anchor when the time comes and serve as guard dog?'
Kai growled at the word guard.
"She seems strong if her bite is any indication all we have to do is figure out how to tie her to the wheel and then help her lift the anchor. If you can keep her moving I'll lift it." Selkie suggested.

"Yeah....she's one of the darker mermaids.Hence why we call them sirens.Evil ones are Sorens.Merfolk are the semi friendly ones....like the little mermaid...who ended up as seafoam." she said sadly
