There seems to be a bunch of mumbo jumbo on a piece of paper atop the typewriter - it was a code of some kind. Where the paper would usually go, there was an old cracked monitor, and a small line blinked at the top left corner; you got the idea (since you were a detective and therefore you were very smart). You had to decode the thing by doing something with the old typewriter/computer hybrid.

Can I read what is on the paper so far?

They appear to be diaries, and they seem to be made of the same paper the paper airplane from before was made of . The contents seem to be by multiple people, despite it being in one book, one diary. The first bit seems to be by the same person who wrote the stuff on the airplane.

I've arrived. There seems to be nobody else yet...

The mansion is big, I'll give it that. I guess the manor itself is even bigger. My invitation letter said there would be games, I'm exited, actually.

I've entered the building. The staircase sure is amazing!

I guess I'll explore a bit before going upstairs. The door to my left, it leads to the dining room. The door to my right... It's locked, but I assume it leads to the right wing. I wonder who lives there and needs such privacy, maybe it's my host?

Never mind, up the staircase I go. Three doors here. Center door is rooms, right door is rooms, and left door leads to... A library. Sure! I love books.

I think I see someone else here!

The entry by this person ends here. Their description is pretty accurate, just as you'd seen when you'd entered the mansion. A pair of double doors to the left, and a pair to the right. You read the next entry. This handwriting seems to be neater than the first, presumably older than them. The tone also seems different, as if this person worked a rather professional job that required knowledge of how to write in a very sophisticated way.

The mansion is big, but it seems foreboding. I am curious as to why I was called here. My invitation letter says that I would come to meet someone unexpected here, and that only makes the atmosphere thicker.

Why was I invited here?

At this point, the pages of the book seemed to start falling out. They swirled around you in a small storm, something very odd. Books began falling out of the shelf, their pages ripping out and joining the storm as well. Soon, so many pages are whirling around you that you can no longer see your surroundings, all you can see are the pages.

To make things worse, your lantern chooses this exact moment to blink out, leaving you in the dark, rustling of the whirling pages still in your ears.

Then, suddenly, you hear a sucking sound and a loud POP! And all is still.

The pages vanish, and you seem to be in the exact same room as before, but different... Sunlight streams in front the window before, confusing, as it was night seconds before the page storm.

The room doesn't seem to be broken down anymore. In fact, it seems like a nice place to live, everything clean and neat, and it seemed like it was frequently used.

One of the books seemed to be written in... Japanese? Another book you couldn't read entirely, it was written in some alien language that didn't seem to be a human language.
To you, it seemed like the contents spoke jargon, they were loose entries, each day wasn't even necessarily connected to the next day. You do notice something in all the diaries, though. They all mention being invited here for some reason or another- a couple of them talk about coming for revenge, some came to seek answers. Another similarity you noticed was the fact that each page's edges were covered up to down with tally marks, as if someone was counting something. There had to be at least hundreds of tally marks in each of the diaries.

The door closes with a large BANG!, leaving you in the room. A paper airplane spirals down from who-knows-where, even though there could be nothing to possibly cause any movement in the room.

((Do you know any computer languages?))

Yes you can... A part of it, at least.

Then there were a couple of smudges, but they may or may not be important.

((Thoughts? Feelings?))

It seemed a bit eerie, even though the sun was shining through the glass and all. It then struck you; was your connection with the outer world completely cut off? Were you trapped in this place?

Starting to panic, I run back towards the road, not paying any attention to my surroundings, my heart beating hard and fast in my chest.
