Darrian slid down the wall and got to her feet. She sprinted over to the mirror to investigate her blurry vision. She gasped and tripped backwards. Her eyes were turning a solid yellow. Panicking, she ran around to the other side of the room. What is going on? The sharp pang returned again.

She stumbled to the door and unlocked it, she then darted back to her spot in the corner. A jumbled mix of a pained gasp or attempt at speech could be heard.
