I blush slightly, but it goes away as I notice him tense. Jet stands up, cocks his head, and tenses too. I stand up, and walk over to Jet. I whisper in his ear,
"What's wrong?"
I don't know, I smell something off. He replies. This is the first time he has talked today.

I hear this but pay no attention to it.
I put you in danger by staying here. I must go before.. I trail off, spinning around (a couple of my spikes accidentally denting a wall) and dart out of the cave. I leap up and a rock and spread my wings, prepared to take off.
