Pearl slid behind sonic,"He did whatever your mad about" she said pointing to sonic...and from knux's view she was pointing to both of them

"Ha ha... H-hey there Knuc--" Sonic started, but Knuckles cut him off.
"Start running," He said with a venomous growl.

Pearl grabbed onto Sonic and Gaget and began to run....
