He nodded,then motioned with his tail for Akira to follow close as he began walking in the same direction they had come,but after a good distance he turned to go farther into town.

She followed him, lingering a bit behind him to look at the town.

He walked for a bit,till they hit an area with fewer houses but still they where small. He walked over to a gray house with a light yellow door. It had to front yard or second story,not porch like those around it nor even a small garden.

She looked up at the house, unfazed by its seemingly bland appearance.

He walked up to the door and bent down carefully and took a pair of silver keys from under a door mat. He took the smaller one and used it to open the door,the door leading to a small hallway maybe wide enough to fit two people side by side and that lead down to a living room to the right and another hallway to the left.The living room had a door to the far side that lead to a guest room and another to the kitchen. Down the left hall had a dark room that was locked,the use of the larger key,and farther a right turn that lead to two bathrooms and a bedroom at the very end.

" Wow. This is a nice house. " She commented.

He smiled to her,moving to the side for her to go in first. "Thanks.It's hard to keep in the budget but I manage."

" Its better than the one I have...faint memory of. " she said.

He gently wrapped his tail around her shoulders as if in a small hug. "I'm sorry."
