Not wanting to disturb his nap I grab his discarded shirt and drape it over his exposed body so he doesn't burn and take some leftover metal and a stick, propping it up beside him to shade his face slightly then continue working in silence.

You work until you have it finished. Orzin is still asleep, he must have been tired.

I try and kick them with a foot while pulling on the rest(like near the base so it just snaps off if that will work) and try that like 5 times for each bush if it doesn't work the first time. I look at the trees and see if any of them has fallen benches I could make a fishing pole out of along with some vines or smthn.

You get them cleared out. There was some nice looking branches, but no vines.

I wipe some sweat from my forehead and let out a satisfied sigh. Taking a step back to admire my handiwork. I can't bring myself to wake him up but I refuse to fall asleep with him in my camp, so I'll stick by the fire and feed it to keep it going, keeping myself company through my thoughts of the day. Overall it wasn't bad. every once in a while i'll shoot glances to him to see if he's waking up yet.

I collect all the branches and put them near the pile of thistle pieces. I head back to the big fish river, hoping I can maybe catch one by hand, and bring a thistle trunk(?) With me if I can maybe use it to spear-fish or something.

You still can't get it thin enough. You should have gotten a hammer, but Orzin might let you use one.
