Her last attempt at saving Ash, she grabbed the bug, vines wrapping around it for some support as she tried pulling it.

It buzzed furiously and clamped down hard, and Ash cried out in agony. His fingers on her throat tightened. The bug hissed again...and loosened its hold, still fighting her all the way. Ashs grip tightened once more. A crackle and a flash of light, and Ash convulsed, shoving Claire away. There was a glint of light, of something tiny and metallic, fly up toward the ceiling, and Ash staring at his hands in horror. The metal spark hovered in the air a moment, than zipped toward Claire with a furious buzz.

Pucks hand shot out, snatching the bug from the air, hurling it to the floor. For a split second, it lay there glinting coldly against the ice. Then his boot smashed down and ground the bug into oblivion.

She coughed, attempting to catch her breath.

Puck knelt in front of her, one shoulder covered in blood, his whole body tense with concern. "Claire." One of his hands smoothed her cheek, rough and urgent. "Talk to me. Are you all right?"

She nods, looking over at Ash.

(Puck was the one that was talking...Ash feels too guilty to even say anything right now xD)

Ash was slumped against the wall in the corner, head down, one hand covering his still bleeding ribs. His eyes were open, staring at the floor, at nothing.

"So," Puck demanded. "Did you kill her parents?"

He gave his head a small shake, a tiny movement in the shadows. "No," he whispered without looking at them, his voice flat and dead. "Theyre just...asleep. When the ice melts, they should be fine, with no memory of what happened."

She nods, sheathing her sword before glancing at Pucks shoulder. "If the entire house wasnt basically frozen I would offer to stitch you up, but seeing as the med kitsch ina cabinet, kind of useless." He mutters.

"What will you do with me now?" he whispered.

Pucks shadow fell over him. He was holding Ashs sword, a grim, frightening look on his face. For a second, it seemed that Puck would stab him right there, but he tossed the blade at Ashs feet and turned away. "Think you can walk, Prince?"
