There was some muffled noise outside the entrance to the leading tunnel and Shadow quickly flew to put the rock away. Thistle stiffened and Shade carefully put some scrolls away best he could. Someone was coming, talons scraped the stone as the dragon approached, they could probably hear Flameshard trying to get the dragon to stop.

There weren't many places to hide. Some shadey area's and maybe under the prince's wings. They where turning their scales to camouflage against the stone. Thistle looked very panicked but to stiff to do anything.

She went to hid in the shady areas, since she was pretty dark...ish after all.

Yes, her species used to be able to literally meld into the dark.
