Nila checks on their pulse. "They're alive. Dunno about okay."

"I think they just used too much magic." Nethimir said, debating whether to say the second part she wanted to or just leave it at that, in which she decided to leave it at that.

"Is that a normal thing?"

"Well, there's different consequences depending on the type of mer, but yes, kind of." Nethimir rolled her eyes.

Out of the corner of her eye, she can see the other two seahorses returning from land.

"Hey, the Seahorses are back." Nethimir mentioned, simply swimming over to where she threw the rock and picking it up.

As soon as they spot them, they swim over. Depths turns directly to Neth. "Did they speak to you?" He asks her directly, pointing to Light. He seems to need a lot less effort to speak than Light does.

"Yeah. Used too much magic, I think." She replied without a second thought, holding the rock in her hand for no reason in particular.

He sighs in annoyance, picking up the unconscious seahorse. "How long did they speak for, then?"

"Quite a bit. They told us about your curse and the deal you have with the sand-thing." She didn't bother to hide anything that Abyssal Light had said. What was the point of hiding it anyways?
