She froze

Ash knocked her to her back. Time seemed to slow. Puck and Ironhorse bellowed something from far away. A blinding stab of pain shot up her arm. His sword was raised for the killing blow. For just a moment, he hesitated. The sword wavered as his arm trembled, a flicker of torment crossing his face

"Ash?" She muttered, holding onto her arm as she stares up at him, her sword in her stabbed arm.

Just a moment, before the blade came flashing down, but it was enough time for Ironhorse to lunge between them, shoving Ash away. There was the hideous screech of metal as the blade ripped into Ironhorses side and he staggered, almost going to his knees. Then Puck was pulling Claire to her feet, yelling at Ironhorse to get moving, and she was being dragged through the door. Ironhorse lurched to his feet and followed, dripping a thick black substance behind him, his wheezing breaths echoing down the stairwell. As they escaped SciCorp and fled into the streets, Ash stood at a window, a single tear frozen on his cheek.

"Second Manhole on the left." She mutters, not looking back as she runs with them.

That was probably for the best. They soon arrived back at Leanansidhe's.

She looked over at Ironhorse, silently scolding herself for not moving. "Ironhorse, I'm so sorry. I should've moved." She says softly, looking pained.

"Easy, Princess." Puck made her sit down. "Just sit still for a minute. We need to bandage you up. Ironhorse is fine."

She glanced up at Puck, waving him off. "I'm fine, hes the one that took the hit for me. I wouldn't be alive if it werent for him." She says softly, looking up at Ironhorse.

"I AM FINE, PRINCESS." Ironhorse, back in his more human form, peered over the couch at her. "A LITTLE LESS THAN WHEN WE STARTED, BUT I WILL LIVE. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I COULD NOT PROTECT YOU FULLY."

Puck got some gauze from who knows where and started wrapping her arm
