Because each themed, yes he is themed (look at the star on his pet "profile" page). So yeah.
It is normal he just has different traits than the other one. :) It happens...But I don't know why.

I noticed the same thing with the female Coconut Mocha Lighira I caught a couple of days ago. Shes missing some of the markings/features shown on the pic of that themed Sylesti. My best guess is certain ones are hidden traits.

The pets shown in the thread are just examples, with 3 traits usually visible. The number of traits your harvested Sylesti will have depends entirely on what kind of pearl you use. And even if you use sea pebbles to guarantee a slot, it's still a lottery as to the specific trait(s) you'll get. TL;DR The colors will be the same, but you most likely won't get the exact traits pictured.
Fortunately, you can still get the example pet's image url, paste it into the generator, and model different traits before picking a catalyst and how many visible traits it will have.
