It's getting closer. He can see hundreds, maybe even thousands, of sharp teeth glinting in its mouth, and he sees that it has claws that are practically the size of his arm.

He can hear its footsteps thundering behind him. He can't tell whether or not it's gaining on him, but with legs that long it's very likely that it is.
