You approach the tree and look it up and down a few times. It wasn't a particularly big tree nor did it have any interesting features, why was it so interesting? You look closer and notice something hidden on a high branch.
It lifts it's head up and tilts it to the side as it gets a better look at you. Your companion growls as loud as it's tiny frame will allow it to trying to seem as much of a threat as it possibly can. The much larger creature completely unaffected growls softly, imitating your companions tone and volume.
What should you do?

I hope that you enjoy, I'm not great at this so I hope it's ok!!
You turn around and begin walking back down the trail that you are sure you came from. As you wander quicker and quicker you notice that the path is widening and becoming more well kept. Maybe there are people up ahead?
As you catch up to her, it becomes clear that she has caught the scent of something. She seems very determined to find whatever she is tracking. After walking for what seems like an hour of white on pinkish red another colour finally graces your eyes, a dull grey blur in the distance.
Investigate?

I take out my weapon (I can't remember what it is, I think it's an axe but I could be wrong) and cautiously investigate.

I slowly walk towards the creature. "Greetings, do you know where I could find a snake or perhaps you yourself could deliver this message?" I ask, waving the message.
You step inside the store and glance around looking for snakes. The walls are covered from floor to ceiling with weapons and tools of different types, daggers, axes, swords and scythes all made from different metals and decorated in their own unique ways. A tiny wisp like creature sits on the floor staring at a large bug on the wall.
What should you do?

I continue down the path, but I feel like I must be quiet. I have no idea if the people (if there even is any) are violent or not.
You stalk closer and closer gripping your knife tightly. As wood and stone buildings poked through the trees you felt more fear than you had ever felt before. Whatever was fueling your fear stayed perched at the very edge of your mind and no matter what you did it wouldn't more any further forward.
What should you do?

You walk slowly and cautiously forward, Graveyard now hovered behind you looking rather distressed and worried... maybe even scared? You finally stop and duck behind a rather large snow mound to observed the blur. The once grey blur is now a very defined building surrounded by what look like large cages of some sort. You can clearly see that things are moving around inside of them.
