You see a venomous snake and a kitten. The snake hissed loudly at the kitten, And the kitten looked fearfully at it

As soon as I see the fearful kitten I move without thinking. I quickly rush forward grab the snake by the tail. I drag it away from the kitten quickly and move it around to avoid the thrashing head.
((I've actually handled a snake like this before - it's terrifying and I don't recommend actually doing this unless you know exactly what you're doing))

After watching the snake slither away I kneel down a little ways away from the kitten. I hold out a gentle hand towards the frightened feline. "Come here little one.. It's okay."
