"Mkay. If it pleases you." Brandon said, hugging Scarlet for a second after hearing that she was being shut out. Then he smiled, and got up.

Scarlet follows Brandon once in a while looking over her shoulder.
Justin hands Brandon a wooden sword and grabs one himself, "Show me what you can do."

Brandon looks at the wooden sword in slight astonishment. "Oh... Oh... Hazel has never allowed me to be anywhere close to a sharp object - even a wooden replica of one. She has said I would probably trip on my own feet and impale myself with one of these." He said, lifting the sword slightly to explain what objects in particular his sister hated him around.

"Well then be grateful your sister isn't here and it's time you learned how to handle a weapon. I can think of a ton of situations that knowing how to fight is essential and being able to use multiple weapons is very useful," Justin deminstraits a lunge.

Brandon nodded, watching carefully. He tried to do it himself, and ended up tripping over his feet, and fell. Quickly, he scrambled back to his feet. "Sorry. I'll try to do better."

"Everyone learns at their own pace,'' Justin shrugs, "Do you know how to feel the balance of a sword or know how to tell how a sword is well made or not?"

Brandon shook his head. Some of this was beyond him at the time.

"Okay feel the wooden sword in your hand and find your center of balance. If the sword is well balanced it should feel like a farthing of your arm. If the hilt is poorly wrapped or the blade is cracked the sword is poorly made."

"So... This sword isn't bad. It looks good. No cracked hilts or blades." He notes.

"Yes but it's just a wooden pratice sword," Justin replies, "now try to attack me with it."
