I break into a cold sweat. I dream about the day everyone died, but it is all in slow motion. I wake myself up multiple times with my screams.

Elissa crouched down and easily picked up Maya, relieving Silk of the task. She gently set her down on the table, made sure she was still breathing easily and that her injury hadn't worsened, before turning back to the other two. "We should at least wait till tommorow night.There are too many injured, and even if we can carry them all, we will be sitting ducks. As much as I want to high tail it out of here, it's too risky right now," Elissa said.

I wake up near dawn. I feel refreshed, and get up. Jackson, Elissa and Silk are sleeping peacefully in chairs around the table I was laying on. I remember how many people I killed yesterday, but I push the thought out of my mind. Jackson is shivering, so I go get him a blanket. I then walk back to my kitchen, and start making pancakes.

Silk's tail wags, and her eyes flutter open.
