He didn't notice that she didn't notice him doing so,he just...wanted to know she loved him still,he wanted to stay right there with her,even if the love was one sided now.

Thankfully however, she did still love him. It had just...diminshed a bit, after seeing how he treats Shade. Constantly.

If she kept it up as that he would soon relax,unless she gave any hint of a difference again and he'd really be at Shade's throat.
