Luna opens her eyes and stares, shocked, as the wound heals.

The man blinks, and shoots in in both wings, and one foot.

The bird calmly stares at him. "Shooting's a tad rude, don't you think?" She asks, in a distinctly feminine, Irish-accented, human voice.

Luna screamed again.

the man shrugged, obviously drunk, and shoots it in the head and chest. multiple times.

The bird doesn't care. In fact, she laughs a little. "All you're doing is wasting gunpowder."

he shot until the clip was empty. then he shot a few more times, the fact that he was out of ammo not clicking.

Luna screamed for a third time.

"You can calm down. I won't hurt you." She stares at Luna calmly. Her eyes narrow as she turns her gaze to the father, and extends her sharp talons. "You, however, need to leave."

he blinked, before slamming the butt of the gun down on Lunas head, knocking her out with a cry of pain. she slumped, unconcious. *shes mine, bird. shes my daughter. shes my relief, if you know what i mean. she belongs to me. now go, befroe i turn you into a handbag.* the man growled, before pulling out another clip and loading it.

She calmly looks him in the eye. Then, with a sudden flicker, the owl isn't there anymore. In its place is a monstrous, birdlike beast, with four eyes, thin antennae, and deadly sharp claws. She calmly hops off the dresser, headed towards him.
