Warren continued licking Fala, helping lift her fur to allow it to dry faster.

Fala
Her back fur was on end, knowing that she was not hallucinating. *Do any of you hear something?* she asked, her wings opened in fear.

Warren and Tara
Now fully alert, Warren's ears were swiveling, and he thought he heard something. Just before he spoke, Tara said, "I heard something, too."

Made my new character, Fala's brother!

Fala
She looked at the door and saw the stranger's eyes, immediately knowing who it was. "What do you want, Tala?" she asked, a bit furious. Tala walked in, shorter than his sister. "Oh nothing, just want to have a talk with your little friend here." He looked at Warren wrapped up by Fala. "His name is Warren, if you hurt him I'll hurt you." Tala beckoned Warren with his tail, walking outside.

Warren
"Even injured as I am," Warren whispered to Fala, "he would be the one to get hurt, not me. Remember, I've got the upper hand."
Warren followed Tala, and said, "What do you want?"

Tala
"I see what you're doing. You love my sister." he smiled.

Warren
"What's that supposed to mean?" Warren asked.

Tala
"Normally, I would have kept her away from you, but she hated when I was just protecting her from harm, so I just leave her alone, and you're...interesting in her view. I'll tell you that she doesn't know what love is, but I do. So expect her to be confused, but accepting. She'll need it, just to keep me from..." He was holding in a laugh, trying to say his words. "Keeping me from...talking about it!" He was laughing hysterically.

Fala
He heard her brother laughing outside, looking down at her gloved paws.

Warren
"Look, everyone deserves to know what love is and how it feels at least once in their lives. Your 'protection' is handicapping Fala. I can't help you with that," Warren said.
