Reaching stiffly for the sky,
The little tree is growing, stiffly because it's made out of wood

I bare my fingers when its cold
Tree loses all of it's leaves in the winter

In warmth I wear an emerald glove
Tree grows new leaves for the summer

And in between I dress in gold.
Tree's leaves turn yellow to orange to red in the fall
