Knuckles opened up the scroll and laid it flat on a stone table in the middle of the room. He also grabbed a quill and some paper. "Alright, let me seeeee...." He mummbled, mostly to himself as his dark eyes skimmed over the page. As he read over the text, sometimes silently, other times at a murmmur, he copied down the words in English on the other sheet of paper.
His handwriting was mediocre.
(I really need to settle on a language for the echidnas... would Indonesian, Greek, or Zulu be appropriate? Also, this is kinda your backstory here, so you can decide what it says.)
