Knuckles shook his head. "Nobody cares; If they did, they would've figured it out a long time ago," He muttered to nobody in particular. He paused at the base of the mountain. "Uh... close your eyes a sec," He asked.

Knuckles smirked shyly. "Something like that,"

Clik rolled her eyes and shut them,"If it's secret knock i'll laugh" he ears flicked annoyed as she said that

Knuckles didn't reply. The only sound that was heard was the sound of the grass rustling beneath his feet, a dull click, a soft rumble, and then some more rustling. "Kay, you can look up now," The echidna said finally. There was a small tunnel in the mountain face behind him.

Azul looked at it,"you clicked a button didn't you"

Knuckles missed the joke. "No. Even if I did, I'm not telling you, and I don't need to," Knuckles said flatly, slipping into the tunnel. Gadget waved his tail and trotted after him.

Clik shook her head,"one day he'll be dead and someone will find it" she followed in after him

Azul checked behind them before dashing off into the cave

"I only dare show two people..." Knuckles said quietly, deftly tapping a particular spot on the wall with his fist, causeing the entrance to seemingly collapse behind them. You'd have to be the Guardian to even know that there was a switch hidden there. "But it needs to stay hidden. Me, the Emerald, this place... we're all that's left. I don't expect you to understand, but please, try to show a litte respect. I don't think I'm asking a lot," He added thoughtfully, not really talking to a particular individual.

Clik:"at least i respect history....unlike some people.." she mumbled."and i havn't told anyone,why wouldi ?" she added

Azul glanced at the entrance,"let's just hurry this up shall we?"

Knuckles looked up at Clik. "Why would you?" He repeated, shaking his head. "I don't know. I can't read people well enough to answer that." With that, he continued down the hall, refusing to answer anymore questions until they reached the section that was the archives.

Clik looked amazed at all the archived data,"Wow....these look really well preserved."
