"Okay!! Bronze Sun it is..... I'll name the filly on your right Powdered Sugar. She looks like powdered Sugar. My other filly will be named Golderina. It fits her."

"Okay, Powdered Sugar...your sister there will be Domino...Hmm...I think that's fits her a little." She said. She walked over to the fillies. "Beauties...Hey, what's that?" She asked. There was a black figure at the cave entrance. "Oh no." Chris whispered. "A demon horse."

Niyol walked silent as every through the tall grass. He paused now and then to examine some tracks. By the shape and depth he figured two females made them. He had also seen heavy hoof makers. Either rather large stallions or very pregnant mares. He knelt down next to a set of tracks, light running his finger over them. "These are a couple days old, my friend." He muttered to Yiska.
Yiska turned his ears toward Niyol's voice, though he really wasn't listening. He was busy stuffing his face full of grass.
Standing up, Niyol smirked at the stallion and clicked his tongue a few times. Together they contuied walking through the grass. Niyol resting his hand on Yiska's shoulder.
Suddenly Yiska stopped. His head came up high, ears forward, then swirled back and forth.
"I heard it too.." Niyol said as he jumped onto the stallions back. Together they galloped toward the area where they heard the mares whinnies of pain.

Chris heard more galloping and automatically went to the foals and took out her whip. The black, ghostly horse stood there menacingly. She knee her whip would do no good. Demon horses were not pure solid. They were part ghost as well.
Crystal sensed danger. She reared up in fright. Her fillies were standing frightfully near her.

(Sorry. Not supposed to be on the computer)
"Chris?? Is everything ok??" Violetina asked, then seeing the black horse at the entrance, whispered, "Oh no. Not a demon horse..... This can't be happening! Bronze Sun, Golderina, Peppermint, Crystal, Domino, and Powdered Sugar don't deserve this!! Peppermin and Crystal just gave birth! They're in no condition to get up and walk!! And Powdered Sugar, Domino, Bronze Sun, and Golderina were just born!! They can't walk for a while yet!! What will we do!!"

"Hyah! Hyah!" Niyol pressed is knees in tighter to get Yiska to move faster. Though he knew it was dangerous for his horse to do a flat out gallop over ground they didn't know, Niyol could sense the demon horse and somehow knew that meant others were in trouble. Yiska snorted and trumpeted a challenging cry as the caves came into sight. The scent of new birth was in the air, but that isn't wait angered the stallion. While holding on with his thighs and knees, the young man drew out his bow and arrow. One of the most difficult things he learned to master was shooting while his horse was moving at it's fastest pace. Yiska screamed again as Niyol let loose an arrow. The arrow flew forward just barely missing the demon horse's nose. Yiska slide to a stop, just barely giving Niyol time to prepare himself. Knowing his companion very well by now, Niyol quickly tightened his knees again and grabbed Yiska's dark steel mane. The blue roan stallion reared up and screamed again. When the demon horse turned toward them clearly angered by this challenge, Niyol called out in his native tongue a curse toward the dark horse. It was his thought to lead the demon stallion away, but by the way Yiska was side stepping and snorting, there was going to be a fight..

Chris got up. "It's gonna be okay." She whispered. She glared at the Demon Horse. "Out. Now, or else..." She hissed as she pulled out a small hologram projector from her pocket. "Or the Angels will come." She warned. She clicked a button and a hologram of an angelic horse appeared. She knew the Demons hated the angels. The horse reared up and faded into the back shadows of the cave.

Niyol frowned as he held tightly to his horse. He could feel the stallion's anger and frustration. "Easy, Yiska..next time." The young man leaned forward patting the stud's neck lightly. He spoke in his native tongue calming words that helped Yiska calm down in the past.
Yiska slammed his front hooves into the ground as the dark horse faded away. He snorted angrily that his chance to murder one of those demon horses was gone. He shifted around, side stepping and pawing the ground. Till he felt Niyol's hand lightly patting his neck and mumbling calming words. His ears turned back toward the voice as his head bobbed up and down. Then he flicked his ears forward toward the cave, hearing the sounds of others.
Once the stallion was calm, Niyol jumped off and walking around to stand next to him, keeping a hand on his shoulder. He stared at the cave. He heard a female voice say something before the demon horse vanished. Was she controlling it? Or did she manage to run it off this time? He heaved a heavy sigh, he was gonna have to go after that arrow sooner or later. Better get it over with. He thought to himself. After clearing his throat, he singled Yiska to stay close as he headed toward the cave. Niyol forced himself to relax, it had been years since he had been around other humans. Several years in fact. He stopped a few yards away from the cave. "I am here to get my arrow then I"ll be on my way." He said, but remained standing where he was. This would give the female a chance to come out if she chose to.
