Lilja stopped, seeing them. Without a second thought she ran over, shifting into her dragon form and growling at the wolves. She was much bigger than them.

The wolves growled and some whimpered a bit before they ran away. "Hey, Marsha," the ice dragonet said then shook Marsha's shoulder. "The wolves are gone. That lady helped us." Marsha slid her wings and talons away from her face slowly and looked up to see Lilja. She shuffled more closer to the ice dragonet and looked down at the ground. "Thanks for scaring those mean wolves away. They came out of nowhere," the ice dragonet said.

"I've never seen you before. Are you from north of those mountains?" the ice dragonet said. "Gavin, can we leave?...It's really cold out here," Marsha said. "Okay. You can come with us. I bet my ma and pa will give you cake and thank you for saving me. They'll get angry at me for getting me and Marsha into danger, but I can deal with that."

"Pleeaaasseee?" Gavin said and shifted to his human form as he went over to Lilja. "Please, please, please, please, please, please, pleeaasseee?" he said as he jounced up and down with his most I-Am-Very-Desperate-Please-Pretty-Please-Come face. "You don't even have to stay for long. Pleaseee?" Marsha hadn't moved or shifted, but was shivering a bit.

"Yay!" Gavin said and shifted back into his dragon form. "I'll show you the way." Marsha looked relieved and flied alongside Gavin as he flapped back to town.
Marsha and Gavin shifted back to their human forms and Gavin led them to his house, opening the door for the others to enter. Inside was a fireplace and bunch of others around, not just ice dragons. They didn't seem to recognize Lilja though.
"Gavin. Who is she?" a man with white hair said. "She helped us when we got attacked by a pack of wolves!" Gavin said. "Oh my!" a woman said and rushed towards him and checked Gavin and Marsha for injuries. "You are not going outside without any adults watching over you ever again! You and Marsha could have been seriously hurt. We'll be talking more about this later, young man," she said and the turned to Lilja. "Thank you for saving them, my son can be quite reckless. Come, we'll treat you," she said, motioning for Lilja to follow.
(Sorry that if it's lengthy and grazing powerplay)

Lilja was clearly hesitant to follow, but soon began walking after the woman who she assumed were the small ice dragonets mother.

"I hope you have an empty stomach," she said and led Lilja to what looked like a dining room.
There was a long table with candles going down the length of it. A lone window framed by a set of curtains let in a pane of light inside the room.
"Sit where ever you like." She went over to another room. Gavin and Marsha came into the room. "Oh, I should help my ma," Gavin said and hurriedly went over to the room his mother just went to. Marsha looked uneasy and nervous until Gavin and his mother came back with a plate of spaghetti and meatballs and a bowl of soup with eating utensils. "Ma says I can give you some cake after I set this down. Where do you wanna eat?"
