He returned to his methodical task, each completed rune shimmering faintly before settling down. Not a drop of ink was wasted with each brushstroke.

She began walking around, getting familiar with the area.

"Don't wander off and die," Jordan said offhandly, "you might run into a bear or two."

Ivan yawned, making his way to where Jordan said he was going to be setting up his newest project. The white-haired boy was awfully bored, and decided to pester his friend. Sidestepping a fallen log, the pyromaniac started whistling a tune he'd heard one of the arch mages singing, pausing briefly in the middle of the song to yawn again. Maybe he shouldn't have stayed up all night writing that letter to Lysa.

As she walked, she touched trees, making noticeable ice appear on them. The ice would be easier to discern than a small trail.

"Hmm?" Ivan hummed, stopping and taking a few steps back. "Is that... ice? In spring?" He questioned to himself, walking over and brushing his fingers over frosty ground, glancing around and noticing what seemed like a trail. He grinned, "Looks like you'll have wait up for me Jordie."

He carefully followed the trail as quietly as possible- which wasn't that quiet, really. Eventually he turned around an ice covered tree and spotted her, quickly stepping back so the tree concealed him. He peered around the tree to spy on her, the epitome of stealth.

She didn't notice anyone watching her, continuing her exploration as she continued to leave her trail.

He followed her for a few minutes, before messing up and stepping on a stick, snapping it in two. Ivan quietly cursed the clicheness of it all before pressing himself behind a tree and holding his breath.

She paused in her tracks, turning around and examining the area. " ...Who's there? " she asked quietly. Although she inwardly cursed herself, as when you're usually being followed through the woods and you asked that question, a murderer comes out and kills you.
