I snuck into the kitchen my hair a mess. I walked in, grabbed three scones, and bumped into someone. I looked up seeing a elf. "S-sorry." I stuttered my face growing scarlet. I looked down and tried to walk past the elf.

Ahelissa was a deep sleeper, but with all the craziness that had been going on lately, she didn't get much sleep. So when she heard the bells chiming, she groaned and wished she had not stayed up so late worrying. There was nothing she could do about her predicament, but in all honesty, that didn't keep her from brooding about it. She sat up and rubbed her bleary eyes. Why had she gotten caught so easily by the slave carts? She had outrun them for years, why now? Ahelissa rubbed her ankles where the manacles had chafed her skin. She had tried to pick the locks and pull them off so many times, the iron had cut into her skin. This. Wasn't. Fair. Those stuffy castle folk could do their chores. Ahelissa huffed and sat in her bed a little while longer. Remilia was probably still asleep, right? Her gaze dropped to the leather collar that sat by her bed. She despised that piece of hide. She wanted to run free in the secret glade she had found years ago, filled with birds, little animals, and even a hart or two. She didn't want to be serving some lazy noblewoman, cooped up here in this stone fortress with barely a window to remind her of the outdoors. Wait, Remilia! Ahelissa tried to remember how long ago the bells had chimed. Way too long ago. She was going to be very late. Ahelissa swung out of bed and, snatching her collar, made her way toward Remilia's room. She hastily fastened her collar around her neck as she walked, and tried to prepare herself for Remilia's harsh words that were bound to come.

Lidia smiled softly ar her friend as she was helped with slipping on the oversized ball gown chosen by her mother. "Ode, I assure you, I will give you an evening where you will finally be free.", Lidia spoke as she pushed the dress neatly over her armor. The words where foreshadowing her plan for tonight, all of her patrons would be there, ready to be free.
"Oh, Odelina that is beautiful, do you want a tip for tonight?", She didn't wait for an answer, she delicately walked up to her friend. "If you pull the ribbon in the back it will cause the skirt to fall, all of my dresses are made to do that, the same with this one."

Amias calmed himself. He didn't want to be in a bad mood either, so he let a soft smile come back to his face. He started walking down the hall, looking behind hi as if he might just disappear if he walked too fast.
"Some day. Some day I'll make sure of it." He said softly as he looked out the large windows that lined the halls. The castle sure was beautiful, it hid it's chaos well.
(It would end up being pretty bad. Ekon has been set on making Amias the strongest weapon Adreoles has, if he finds a weakness he's going to either snuff it out himself or make Amias do it -.-" )

Remilia finally uncovered herself from the blankets, accepting the fact that the ball wasn't going to kill her.
Hopefully.
She looked around for Ahelissa and gave a small huff when she didn't see her fiery red hair anywhere. Where on earth could that girl be? Being late on a day like this, she sure had great timing. She had gotten up, wrapping herself in her silk robes so she wouldn't be prancing around in her nightgown. She sat down in her chair and waited for Ahelissa to show up. Remilia had many things to say to her when she got up here, but for now, she was just wallowing in self pity about having to go to the ball, and WITH her slave.

Riften was jogging, trying to keep up with Amias's long strides, but, by now he was used to it. "I know you will, but I trust that the princess has a plan.", Riften chirped. The boy was very much set on putting his faith in the heirs.
A brown collar passed by him, his hand moved, slipping something in his pocket. Riften was too busy trying to keep up to notice the hand that passed him something.
(Ahh, alright.))

Nicote snorted. "Listen here, young man. I have permission to move as I please around the castle, and I am not afraid to use that permission. Now if you'll excuse me I have a cat to feed." He started to walk off.
Nanita glanced helplessly at the prince (right??) before hurrying after her master. From behind Nicote's visible ears had turned a bright scarlet-no one really knew he was harboring a cat. Not that he was keeping it a secret Just not mentioning it.

Amias noticed Riften had to jog to keep up with him, so he slowed his pace down to match his.
"You do put a lot of faith in them." He replied, looking over to him. He finished his muffin finally, feeling satisfied at the very least."how do you know that the rest of them aren't the same as their father?"
