That isn't too much, but it may take longer for you to get all of the boxes.

The luffox puts the boxes in front of you before racing back to its bag and putting another box with the boxes that weren't picked. You give it a confused look before opening the boxes and seeing a purple creature and a creature with a orb in its tail.

The luffox gives you the box and stops to shake the water off its paws. You open the box to find a bird like creature in it with its head tucked under its wing asleep.

The luffox gives you the boxes glancing uncertainly at the box woth scratches on it. You open the boxes to find a black eggling with the tail sticking out in one box. In the other you find a apple and a unicorn companion.

The luffox sets all nine boxes before you you open them quickly and find a egg in each one. (Sorry for the bad description, but I'm running out of ideas and that would've taken awhile.)
