Plot can be about humans and mythical creatures coexisting with each other, can that be good?

OH!! RIGHT IT CAME BACK!

Okay! So!
What if it were earth, but dimensional rifts opened, leading the world to become infested with magical creatures and things, and then all these rifts closed one day, leaving the magic that came through to survive

So humans have been coexisting with these magical things, but the rifts opened again? So new things are pouring through and some of them aren't exactly good?
