Kay sat there for a moment and looked up at Aislinn. Kay didn't know the feeling of lose. However, Kay knew she would rather know if someone were dead or alive rather than be left in the dark wondering. She wondered if her parents were still alive, or her aunt.
Kay didn't know what to say, or how to react in this situation. She pushed her glasses back up onto the bridge of her nose since they were slipping and shrugged her backpack back onto her shoulder.
"I'm sorry about your older brother," Kay murmured to Aislinn.

She smiled, still in a manic state of denial. "He'll come back. Of course he'll come back. My brother will come..." She sniffed, eyes watering. "Come back......"Aislinn sat back down on the floor, arms around knees, and said nothing, eyes dull.

Kay placed her hand on Aislinn's shoulder and said comfortingly, "Of course he will."
Kay glanced over at Chase and the little girl and saw he was comforting her, and that she liked him. Good, Kay thought, at least she has someone watching over her now. Kay stood up after a moment and sat down in one of the booths. She glanced through the curtain and saw the the hosts were just lazily wandering, like they usually were. She let the curtain fall and she sighed. How long would they have to stay on this train?

Aislinn pulled out a cookie from her camp backpack. Jack made them, he loved to bake. Still sort of lifeless, she went pver to the small girl and handed her the cookie. "Here, kid," she said awkwardly.
