The mouse squeaks as you step on it's tail and tries to scurry away desperately, alerting prey around that you were there. (Yes, you can still catch the mouse if you act quickly)

I bite the mouse's neck right after it squeaks / picks it up and sets it infront of the kit

There is no chance of you catching any more prey. The kit hungrily eats a few bites of the mouse, leaving half for you when he's full. (Thornkit is male, I should also add that, on that note, what is Fallenstar's gender?)

The she-cat was barely breathing as you listened closely. You recognised her as Greyclaw, a talented hunter and a senior warrior of your old, dead, burnt alive clan. (Also, may I have Foxstar's gender?)

Thornkit limps around you happily. He reached up and licks your cheek, grateful to be part of your clan. You realise Thornkit hasn't said a word since he arrived. What do you want to do?
