Short Story:
Luna stalked around a bush, her mate by her side. Luna would soon be giving birth to pups, but she wanted to hunt once more before she would have a long time to rest.
"I'm going up to the tree tops and look for prey up there." she said to her mate, Silver. He nodded to her. Luna unfolded her powerful gray wings and took off flying. She burst through the treetops, leaves going in every direction. She glided in the air, wind whipping against her muzzle. She soon spotted a squirrel. She dived down, gripped it in her jaws, and flew up again.

Luna landed on the ground with a small thud. Silver rushed over with his prey.
" Great job!" he said.
"Thanks you did great to." Luna said back, nuzzling his cheek. "Let's head back." Silver led the way back to their camp. They walked through a little fern tunnel. It opened up to a huge clearing. Wolves dotted the clear, all different colors. Luna was the most unique. Her light gray coat was shining. Her white underbelly glowing. The tip of her tail was red yellow and orange, the color of fire. Her ear tips and front left paw were also that color. They were also surrounded by actual flames. They don't hurt anyone unless Luna makes them. Their was a glowing flame like mark on the side of her shoulder. A large kick in her stomach told her a horrifying thing: THE PUPS ARE COMING EARLY! she screeched in her mind.
"Silver! The pups are coming NOW!" she screeched at him. Silver's eyes widened. He shoved Luna into the nursery and laid her down. Silver ran out of the den.

(Silvers point of veiw)
"MY PUPS ARE COMING!" he screeched when he got outside of the den. The medicine wolf, Jay, came rushing out of his den, herbs in his mouth, and into the nursery. He managed to say something as he passed Silver: "Stay out here!"
Silver paced in front of the den, for countless minutes.
"Come and see your new pups Silver!" said Jay. Silver raced into the warm den. Luna was laying on her side, 5 pups lay at her belly.
"There.. Perfect.." he said.

(Lunas point of view)
"OWW!" she howled as a spasm gripped her. A wet bundle appeared beside her.
"A boy!" cried Jay. 4 more bundles appeared at Luna's belly. The places where there are flames were lighting a dim fire, keeping the pups warm. Silver rushed in as his name was called.
"There..Perfect" he said.
"Well what should we name them?" asked Luna. Both of the wolves looked at the pups. Silver saw one pup that looked like a thistle.
"He should be named Thistle. This other one should be Leaf because her coat has leaf shaped gray and white patches." he said.
"She should be named Flame because she has orange marks over her gray coat. And this one could be Ari because hes just like a lion, look hes howling already!" she said, warth thick in her voice.
"This last little one should be Nadia, for hope." said Silver.
"Thistle, Leaf, Flame, Ari, and Nadia.. Perfect names.." said Luna. "Now they will grow up to be the best warriors....."
