I love Qibli more than any real being.

I like him because of his sarcastic sense of humor. Also, he's really smart. I would honestly say he is my favorite character if he was a girl. Unfortunately, he isn't, so that makes me think that Tui has something against girls being smarter and funnier than boys.

No, I really don't think that's it. Tui has definitely made good, intelligent, and funny female characters. Take Sunny or Kinkajou for example. Or Peril. Or Tsunami.

I don't mean to be offensive, but he also kind of made Sunny and Kinkajou seem... dim-witted. And Tsunami is not funny directly, like how Qibli is actually making an active effort to be funny, while Tsunami just is, and she has anger issues. Peril has a social-awkwardness issue. So basically, all the female dragons have an issue, or are not the brightest bulb.

Tui is a she, by the way. Also, don't make it seem like Qibli, Clay, or any of the male dragons don't have their issues. In Sunny's book, (Brightest Night) we know that Sunny is actually very, very intelligent. Peril is the way she is due to trauma.

Yeah, but why don't any of the boys have any trauma? Ok, yes, Turtle technically has trauma of social-awkwardness, but seriously, at least his trauma is only being just naturally awkward, not like Peril, who killed dragons for fun. Also, why don't any of the girls have any animus powers and not go half-insane. And Sunny is too positive is acts kind of blind to everything bad and is too trusting. That can end up being a big issue.

Are you kidding me? I'm sorry, but Qibli definitely has trauma. He was abused. Starflight was blinded. Turtle's mom didn't care about him at all. And there are plenty of insane animus males. Like seriously. Darkstalker.

Darkstalker is not Insane insane, he still has a conscience, while Anemone kind of did try to kill her own brother. At least Darkstalker didn't try to kill Whiteout, he loved Whiteout even as he was trapped and killed Arctic. In his mind, he was trying to protect the dragons he loved. Sure Qibli kind of has trauma, but at least it's not trauma where he's kind of the bad guy. None of the good male dragons actually killed dragons for fun, like Peril. Turtle's mom did care about him, she just never remembered his name because of his OTHER million brothers, but she did care about him, or else why did she feed him and let him have shelter if she didn't care about him? She just cared about Anemone ESPECIALLY. Starflight was blinded, but that didn't really give him much trauma because he still is able to live a happy life without thinking of the past is a BAD way.
