Happy anniversary!

Because of Black's, "too-cool-for-you-to-handle" and "I'm-sexy-and-I-know-it" attitude (as we can see from the self-satisfied smirk on his "manly" lips), he is often the subject of newbie and not-so-newbie pranks.
This includes being the target of magical potions (whose origins have not yet been discovered/revealed to the public) that somehow not only changes his outfit, wings, and horn colors, BUT changes them into that of a girl(one with very good taste)'s outfit, a pair of shimmery pink fairy wings, and worst of all-changes his beloved black horns into pink horns with hearts at the ends.
It is on this occasion that Jade (cherryblossom19876) walks past the newly transformed Pink Black. Not only does she refuse to help him hunt down a solution for his predicament before others are able to see him, she also LAUGHS IN HIS FACE (oh, the tragedy).
Black has never forgiven her, and, to this day, glares at her every time she walks by (not that he doesn't glare at everyone else, but...)

If you can't read the thought bubble (which you probably can't, my camera is really bad), it says: "Must not lose cool...my swag is lost...don't show emotion...how did they change my wings...so awkward...this is actually a nice mermaid dress-wait what did I just think...MUST HAVE REVENGE"

It's actually a really bad drawing/painting shown in a really bad photo. My tenses are also odd.

Ack! Totally forgot about this until today when I saw the thread, and I had meant to get started earlier.... *gathers up whatever supplies happen to be around the house and draws furiously*

Okay, finished my entry for the art contest option, just in time! I present to you our first meeting. I'm clearly just prancing through Sylestia without a care in the world when I stumble across Black, hiding in the corner. Naturally, he hisses and is all "I'm a creature of the darrrrkkkkkk..... gah! Blinding rainbows! Go away!" Not the best first impressions ever, but I think that upon reducing the number of rainbows being shot into his eyes (I was so tempted to draw Black putting on sunglasses, Horatio-style *cue CSI music*), our avi characters would actually get along and become good friends, odd-couple style. Every once in a while, Black would accidentally get hit by a rainbow and explode, but it comes with the territory.

And just the linework, in case you prefer it:

Now, please excuse the anatomyfail -- this is actually the first time I've drawn something in a good 7 years or so (*sobs* I used to have TALENT! Why has it abandoned meeeeeeeee......*runs and hides face*), and cartoony stuff was never my forte. I was always more into still life and black and white work. However, I would consider this a triumph not only because it got me out of a creative rut and made me want to do something with my hands. It also turned out decently considering I just moved across the ocean and all I had in the way of art supplies was a pencil, little blank paper notebook (I wish I had my giant sketchbook from back home), eraser, a pen that exploded a bit on the flight here and was leaking all over, unbeknownst to me until halfway through the inking process (I totally photoshopped out some of the worst ink blotches...and my fingers and desk are still covered in black...ink, that is...), and a set of kids felt-tip markers from the dollar store (or rather, the pound store here!) which were left by the previous tenant of my apartment. Worst. Markers. Ever.

EDIT: because I forgot to add that there were no colours right for my skin tone, so I actually used a makeup brush and painted foundation onto the drawing. Dedication, yo. Now excuse me while I go wash and disinfect my makeup brush....

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it, and happy 1 year anniversary!

Thrackerzod wants Black's Armchair of Despair. She will use his..."distraction" to her advantage. That chair will be hers.

Sorry that the pic is a bit...not great. My camera seems to be having some issues at the moment and I had to try to fix the colours in gimp. :/

Anyways...Happy one year on Sylestia! Woo! *throws confetti*

Ahh ******, wish this hadn't been happening this week lol, been too busy and now I am not going to complete my art ahh well...

~~ ~~

It was that time of year again, the time when everyone started to get their spooky on, where the leaves turned orange and started falling from the trees and when the FF came to town. This year, just as last everyone was out Trick or treating, Willow could already see that Draco had been along this street, every house was egged or toilet papered. That guy, such a trickster! Willow couldn't say much though, she had done the exact same last year. But this year she and a few other GC regular's were going for more of a treating approach, mainly to get as many Aeri swirls and Ry crunches as they possibly could. There was a competition in the GC as to who could get the most Candy, and she had decided to pool her resources in with the help of Way, Karma, and the reluctant Black to get the giant stash of Puffballs that Fai had baked as the winners prize.

The tarts had been keen on the idea, but Black, who always seemed to draw the short straw when it came to costumes (Who could forget his moobs in the Supernova dress of Summer Fest!) was less than happy to Trick or treat. He would have, in fact, preferred to stay in the safety of the GC hiding in his brooding corner where, bar the tarts, no one really bothered him. And what was worse, this year Way had decided she was going to be in charge of costumes!

Willow had been a bit late waking up, and was rushing to the GC to change into her mystery costume, Way had given away no details on any of the costume's But Willow was sure she would be scantily clad in next to nothing. Way most certainly would be.

Finally reaching the GC, her favorite place to go in Sylestia, mainly because all her friends were there. She could see that already people were gathering for the ToT event. Fai and Krin were walking about the place checking out everyone's costumes, They themselves were dressed as Oberon and Titania from Shakespeare's A midsummer Night's Dream.

Willow pressed through the throng of people, the one bad thing about festivals, the GC got a bot over crowded, to the corner where her friends usually hung out.
"Willow! Your late, Way thought you might have gotten eaten by a werewolf!" Flute shouted as she got closer. Flute was one to talk, dressed in wolf skin herself.
"Ohh is that new Flute?" Willow queried, it looked like e fresh pelt.
"Fresh skinned of the red werewolf just an hour ago, that's what he gets for mistaking me for Red Riding Hood!"
The two giggled together. It was true there had been an abundance of werewolves mistaking people as poor Riding Hoods all over the woods. Willow had seen many pelts on the trades recently, she still preferred the one she skinned last year, it had survived the winter, not a moth ball in sight. Willow had been too preoccupied with Flute to notice Hund had walked over towards them.
"Oof!" Willow knocked into the armor clad warrior, blood from the days fresh kill splattering all over Willows dress.
"Ehh sorry, didn't see ya pipsqueaks," Hund chortled, playing at the fact that Willow and Flute were on the short side of life.
"Geez Hund, I know that year round you fit in the Hallowed category, but for once could you, maybe not walk around the place, BLOODY!" Willow growled, looking at her once clean cloths.
"Pssh, as long as there are beasties to kill I will be a bloody mess," Hund grinned. Hund, it seemed had also been hunting wolves, as Willow could see gouge marks in Hund's armor that didn't come from any of the regular beasts.

Willow was about to remark about Hund's new battle scars when she was suddenly tackled from behind.
"WILLOW!!! YOU'RE HERE!!" Karma squealed as she hugged Willow, "You are pushing it miss!" she scolded.
"We were just about to send out the search party to find you," Be came walking up behind Karma, looking like a Will'o the Wisp, with shimmer ghost outfit on, and a glowing blue lantern in hand.
"Willow you like, You Like?" Karma had hoped off Willow's back and was prancing about showing off what was obviously her costume, Ripped jeans, one leg completely destroyed, fishnets visible underneath, Leather, collared jacket with a grim reaper on the back and whip in one hand
"Ahhh yeah, what are you?" Willow recognised the grim reaper, but couldn't think where from.
"Damn it Willow I am a SoA, Biker chick!!" Karma exclaimed, "Look Way even got me a 'Bike' to ride."
By 'Bike' karma meant a poor Vul dressed up in a card board bike skeleton.
"Oh, wow, that's really cool Karma, Where is Way?" Willow asked looking about but not actually seeing Way anywhere in chat
"She is over with moodie, seems as though he has changed his mind.." Karma pointed over to the darkest corner of the room.

Willow headed over to the brood corner, as she liked to call it, only one person had the ability to make an entire corner of the GC so dark, the master of the dark himself, Black.

"Oi geez who turned out the light!" Willow called as she stepped closer to the gloom.
"Willow, My tarty sister, do you not own a watch?" Way came bouncing out of the darkness, dressed as a pirate with a mini Jack Sparrow hat and all. Willow rolled her eyes, today all she was going to hear was how late she was.
"I hear SOMEONE isn't co-operating," Willow obnoxiously called into the gloom.
"Honestly I don't see what his problem is, the out fit is perfect!" Way scowled.
"PERFECT!! You have got to be kidding me!" Black Barked as he emerged from the shadows, "I am going to be maulled by little kids wanting to build flipping snowmen!"
Willow couldn't hold in the giggles, "pfft, Black that's the wrong movie."
But not by far, Black had a blue hoodie on with frostbite around the sleeves and hood, and brown baggy pants.
"Honestly Way, wouldn't he have been a better Pitch than Jack?"
"Show her, please, Black do it for me," Way snuggled up to Black, who couldn't resist her words (that's the thing about him, he's a sucker for the ladies). Lifting his hand up, Black rolled his eyes, and with what sounded like a swear word, Black shot forth a burst of magic into the air. Suddenly it started to lightly snow.
Willow gasped in awe of the flecks of hardened water, "I take it Back, jack was perfect!"
"Just wait till you see what she has in store for you, Miss!"

The art was supposed to have myself and Karma in it, but I just ran out of time, so the story is my entry aha, and the art is for fun, I will try complete it and send you all out a copy (QwQ I am so sorry Karma, pweeze dun kill me!!)

Seasonal festivals are a truly lively time to be in Sylestia. Everyone is excited and looking for all the amazing themed pets and new items. Its fun, but also quite chaotic. Especially in region chat.
UghMan I need a break. Too many pets. A figure stumbled into the entrance, mumbling quietly as she rubbed her eyes, wings drooping slightly. She looked up and was immediately greeted with a sight that made her want to run back out the way she had come. People.
Now, not just a few people who would be easy to deal with, oh no. There had to be at least a hundred people crammed in the relatively small space. Most of them seemed to be talking as well. She heard advertisements for pets, discussions about life, and roleplaying she couldnt make heads or tails of. She felt her mouth retract into a tight line as she looked around the room.
WellI could always just go back out there. Im exhausted but this seems bad. Or I could just try to talk to one of the people I already knowOh but they look busy. And perky. As she thought suddenly her eyes caught sight of a nearby and particularly dark corner. Her face lit up. Hello salvation!
She was across the small space in a matter of moments, crouching down in the dark but welcoming space. She smiled as she hummed a tune to herself, her eyes shut lightly. She didnt notice the roiling black mass behind her.
Time went on as she dozed lightly in the corner and the mass slowly came into better focus. It was clearly a body of some sort, a tall figure. It was humanoid in appearance but its red eyes seemed to glow in the dim lighting. Clearly a sinister figure-
She felt a poke on her cheek. She grumbled and tried to hide her face in her shoulder only to be poked again. NnnffFive more minutes. She heard a quiet sound which sounded like a scoff. WaitWhere am I? Her large eyes fluttered open, revealing their bright green hue and pupil less appearance. She saw the figure, a man, a large man in front of her and she did the logical thing. She screamed.
Or well, she would have screamed. She blinked in shock at the panicked look on the pale face of the man in front of her, his hand clamped securely over her mouth before shed been able to let loose a shriek to wake the dead. He seemed to take a moment to school his features before he practically hissed at her, the large horns on his head only increasing her impression of an angry reptile, What are you doing here? This is my corner. Find your own. Her eyes narrowed at the gall of this man. This, this. Stranger.
She bit down on his hand hard and he let out a yelp of his own, quickly throwing his other hand over his mouth as he regained an edge of panic to his otherwise cold features as he cast a quick look around. As he was turning to face her again he suddenly noticed she was already up and in his face. Or that is to say, his chin.
And just who do you think you are telling me where I can and cannot be? When I got here there was no one here and if you dont like it you can get out. Get out and go face all those noisy people out there. I mean really why do there have to be so many of them, I know its a fest but Her tone had slowly grown less angry and snappish as shed been sidetracked glancing over her shoulder to make sure her whispered words hadnt been heard by anyone but her conversational partner. Ugh right that guy.
His expression was a bit funny as it seemed it was a war between the cool anger shed seen before, amusement, and a trace of that panic she had seen before. His mouth worked a moment before smoothing out as his wings moved slightly.
Look, Im not trying to be rude to you. Im just telling you the facts. This is my corner. I know that
seeing so many people can beIntimidating. His face scrunched up a moment as he grumbled quietly
enough he probably supposed she couldnt hear, Especially when theyre trying to put you in a dress.
But youre going to have to suck it up long enough to go hide in another corner. Her eyes had slowly
narrowed as he addressed her, her mouth hardening into a straight line.

No. She sat back down on the ground, crossing her arms and legs as she shot him a fierce glare. He
could feel his eyebrow twitch slightly.

What do you mean, no? He said through his slightly clenched teeth as he looked down at her, wings
unfurling slightly making him look even larger. She snorted and gave her own wings a bit of a flap, the
delicate edges curling slightly. She looked up at him, trying to make it crystal clear in her expression she
wouldnt be going quietly, which she could tell was his only hope for not having himself discovered.

He felt his jaw clench and unclench as he let out a sigh, sitting down on the opposite wall of the corner
beside her. Fine. I could make you leave but not without attracting attention. You can stay here, this
time. He seemed to be trying to puff himself up and loom over her while sitting. She couldnt help the
soft snort.

You look like an angry cat. He blinked once, then twice before giving something that was half smile
half disapproving glare. She grinned slightly and scooted a bit forward, offering her hand to the stranger
before her. Im Entropy, its mediocre so far to meet you. His expression leaned a little closer to
amused as he looked at her proffered hand before taking it.

You can call me Black. It seemed like they were about to have a bit more of an introduction, but alas,
the fates had other plans. Blacks nose gave a slight twitch and then with almost no warning he let out a
fierce sneeze. It had been quite loud. They shared a look of horror as their heads turned slightly, looking
out of the corner into the quieter atmosphere of the room. Oh

Crap. Suddenly a few figures appeared in front of the corner, looming over them much more
effectively and casting them even farther into shadow. UhhHey you guys. Entropy offered a watery
smile and a weak wave as Black just let out a low groan and hung his head.

Later, as they were being dragged along by their wrists by their chatty companions, he turned and gave
her a dark glare and said simply. I blame you for this. She responded the mature way, and stuck out
her tongue. He snorted and looked away, exhausted by her foolishness. At least thats what he told
himself as he felt a half smile playing at his lips.

Holy jeeze. Turns out my sketches were too light for good pictures so I rushed out this terrible writing. Cutting it close but I made it!

Ouch copy and pasting it ruined my structure. I'd fix it but I'm not sure that's allowed this late. Oh well.
