Thank the gods, Niki groaned, swiping his hair behind his shoulder. Im ready to get out of here,he sighs, taking the food from the waiter.
He begins to munch on the sandwich he ordered, lost in thought.
What do you think about our commission? he asks Mara, looking up at the tall woman. Theres gotta be something crazy on that scroll if its so powerful some random guy will pay this much money to get his hands on it, yeah?

Sighing at the smell of her food, Mara looked at Niki while taking her bowl and setting it in front of her then reaching for the ale and meat. Throwing the slab of meat to Crunch, he happily chomped on it with his teeth tearing it into smaller bites. Mara looked back at Niki and said " I don't know about our commission..." Taking a spoonful of her chicken and rice, Mara followed it with a swig of her ale and continued ".... I'm with you thinking it's gotta be something really powerful on that scroll." Looking back to her food Mara started intently in thought trying to figure out the scroll and why this lord wanted it.

Yeah, that or whatever it is is dangerous. Now, Im dangerous, but nobody is charging that much gold to find me, he paused for a moment, his grimace turning to a smirk Well, at least not yet.
Niki popped the last of his sandwich into his mouth, sucking the sweet sauce off his fingers, before tipping his wine glass back, gulping down the rest of the expensive brew.
He checked the clock on the wall. Theyd already been here an hour. He looked at Mara, asking with his eyes if she was ready to go.

Looking back at Niki, Mara swallowed her last bit of chicken and rice and her ale. Slamming the empty pint on the table Mara looked at Niki with her emerald eyes and nodded. Grabbing her cloak off the back of her chair, Mara draped it over her shoulders and clipped it together under her chin. Grabbing her hammer off the floor near the table she looked at Crunch and asked "You full and ready to go?" Crunch snapped in response and turned towards the door. Mara smirked a bit and turned towards Niki, "You ready?"

Ready as Ill ever be, he says, his usually confident smirk on his face. He walks out of the restaurant confidently, his short cape fluttering behind him. As they walk outside, he blinks his red eyes a few times, his vertical pupils shrinking to slivers in his eyes, adjusting to the bright sunlight. He pulls a map out of his backpack, reading it over, before turning to Mara.
Which route do you think? The path that goes west is more direct, but its tougher terrain. And also, Ive heard that there have been quite a few goblin sightings there too, he says, pointing to the east path. We could also go west, which would extend our trip by probably a day, but itd be much safer.

" I think it'll be fun to take the more direct route. Plus if we find any goblins we can destroy them." Mara said happily punching her fists together. Crunch snapped in agreement since goblins were close to the ground Crunch enjoyed fighting and on occasion eat them. Mara looked from Crunch to Niki and said "I don't think this will be much trouble for us, plus I always like to take the direct path and if we get to smash a few heads in that's even better." Taking her hands apart Mara stroked her double headed hammer like a pet , then smirked at Niki, holstering her hammer she said "Let's get started then."
